The name Pink Beach is actually just a nickname. This beach was originally named Tangsi Beach. However, because the sand has a pink color, this beach is more popularly known as Pink Beach. Actually, this beautiful beach sand is white. Meanwhile, the pink color appears due to the mixing of sand with fine-textured coral reef grains. The coral granules have a red color, making the sand turn pink. The pink color is clearly visible when the sand is wet by the sea waves.

The route from Mataram to Pink Beach is not too confusing. From Mataram City Center, you only need to head east towards Praya. This trip is taken via Jalan Raya By Pass Lombok International Airport, Jalan Raya Mataram - Labuhan Lombok, and takes 2 hours.
Arriving at Praya, visitors just need to continue the journey along Jalan Raya Keruak to the location of Pink Beach.
Sea Route
Sea access to Pink Island can be reached from Tanjung Luar Port. Travel time from Mataram City to Tanjung Luar Harbor is around 1.5 hours. The distance traveled is about 66 km. There are two sea transportation options from Tanjung Luar Port to Pink Beach, namely private boat or public boat. The cost of renting a private boat is around Rp. 800,000-Rp. 900,000 for one round boat. Meanwhile, for public boats, it is around IDR 30,000-IDR 40,000 / person one way.

Prepare food and beverage supplies. Both light food and heavy meaning. Even though it is said that now the beach is starting to get crowded and there are several food stalls open, there is nothing wrong with preparedness. Although there is food available there, sanitation issues need to be considered.
No need to bring snorkeling equipment. When you want to snorkel on the pink beach, there are already snorkeling equipment available. Lat snorkeling rental is usually a package by renting a boat.
Dare to haggle over the price of the boat, if the rent doesn't feel reasonable. The reasonable rental price for boats on Tangsi Beach or Lombok Pink Beach ranges from around 300 thousand.
We recommend that you visit here in the morning or during the day. Don't come home late, because the roads are not good and there is no street lighting. So it is prone to crime.

Angin-Angin Beach is one of the tourist destinations closest to Pink Lombok Beach. The distance between the Wind-Wind Beach is only about 1.9 km with a travel time of only about 9 minutes. The beach which is located in the same area as this beach is also often referred to as Pink Beach 2. Maybe because the two beaches have almost the same character.
Tanjung Ringgit is about 1.5 km from Pink Beach Lombok. This tourist attraction is located at the easternmost tip of Lombok Island, precisely in Pamongkong Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok. Like any headland in general, Tanjung Ringgit has steep cliffs with strong winds.
